SINGAPORE - The Ministry of Manpower (MOM) will conduct the Comprehensive Labour Force Survey from Monday (May 23) to July 31 on a random sample of 33,000 households.

This national survey, done by MOM's Manpower Research and Statistics Department, seeks to collect key information on demographic and socio-economic characteristics of the population, to help in the formulation of policies and programmes.

Households selected for the survey will be notified by post. Those with Internet access are encouraged to participate in the survey online via the Manpower Survey Online System (MSOL), which provides a fast and convenient platform for households to submit their information.

Alternatively, households may opt for a phone interview by calling the Survey Hotline at 6317-1009 from Monday to Friday (8.30am -9pm) or Saturday and Sunday (9.30am - 5pm).

If a household cannot be contacted by telephone, MOM interviewers will visit the respective houses to conduct a face-to-face interview.

All interviewers will display an Identification Card issued by MOM. Households may verify their identity by calling the MOM Contact Centre at 6438-5122.

The survey is conducted in accordance with the Statistics Act (Chapter 317) which safeguards the confidentiality of the information provided. The Act also makes it compulsory for all households selected for the survey to provide MOM with the necessary information.

The public may visit the MOM website at http://stats.mom.gov.sg/mrsd/hse for more information.
