Man with a chopper arrested in Buona Vista

SINGAPORE - A 37-year-old man was arrested in Buona Vista on the evening of Aug 10, after the police were alerted to a man in possession of a chopper.
The police said the incident took place at 1 Vista Exchange Green at 6.30pm.
The man has been arrested for possession of an offensive weapon in a public place, and the chopper has been seized as a case exhibit, the police added.
There were no injuries reported. Police investigations are ongoing.
The incident occurred when a National Day heartland celebration was taking place next to Buona Vista MRT station.
The event was one of five organised by the People’s Association in partnership with the National Day Parade executive committee.
