A man in his 50s was found dead at a construction site close to Punggol Central on Friday afternoon.

The police said it received a call for assistance at about 12pm on Friday and found the man lying motionless when they arrived.

The Straits Times understands the man, a construction worker, is believed to have fallen to his death at the worksite.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force, which also received a call for assistance at 12.03pm, sent an ambulance to the scene and paramedics pronounced the man dead on scene. Police have classified the case as unnatural death and investigations are ongoing.
