SINGAPORE - A 55-year-old man was arrested for rash act causing hurt, and a 61-year-old man was taken to hospital on the night of Sept 22.

Responding to queries from The Straits Times, the police said they received a call for assistance at Block 530 Ang Mo Kio Avenue 10 at about 10.20pm on Sept 22.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force said in a media response that it received a call for assistance at the same location at about 11.15pm on the same day.

The 61-year-old man was taken conscious to Sengkang General Hospital, the authorities said, adding that he sustained minor injuries.

According to a Shin Min Daily News reader, a male patron who was allegedly drunk approached other tables to ask for alcohol.

The reader told Shin Min Daily News that when an elderly man turned down his request, the man struck the older man’s head with a glass bottle.

Police investigations are ongoing.
