Major review of continuing education masterplan

The Government will embark on a major review of the Continuing Education and Training Masterplan to better equip workers to handle future challenges.

The current masterplan was launched in 2008 with the aim of developing infrastructure to keep the workforce relevant. Acting Minister for Manpower Tan Chuan-Jin said that the Government will carry out consultation on the Masterplan in the months ahead and plans to share more details towards the end of the next year.

Mr Tan was speaking at the graduation of first batch workers under the Max Talent Programme on Monday. The scheme matches local talents with small- and medium-enterprises.

The first cohort were presented certificates of completion by Mr Tan.
