SINGAPORE - Households here will pay less for electricity, with tariffs dropping by 9.3 per cent from now until the end of the year.
The new price, for the fourth quarter of the year, is 20.35 cents per kWh. This is 2.06 cents per kWh less than in the previous quarter.
This reduction is due to the lower cost of national gas for electricity generation, said SP Services in a press release on Thursday (Oct 1).
With the lower price, the average monthly electricity bill for families living in four-room HDB flats is estimated to fall by $8.78.
