SINGAPORE - A lorry overturned after it collided with a taxi at the intersection of Outram Road and Seng Poh Road on Thursday morning.

Photos sent by reader Rebecca Pazos show the two vehicles outside 289, Outram Rd, which houses the Broadcast Professional Pte Ltd.

Ms Pazos, 27, said that she was on her way to work around 9.15am when she witnessed the accident. The taxi hit the side of the lorry, which spun around and turned on its side, she said.

She told The Straits Times in an email that only the driver was in the taxi at the time and that there were two men in the overturned lorry.

She called for an ambulance and reported the accident to the police. Both arrived in about 10 minutes, she said.

Police said they received a call reporting the accident at about 9.14am. The Singapore Civil Defence Force said that a man in his 30s suffered minor injuries, but refused to be taken to hospital.

When contacted, the digital content publisher said that she has seen "many near misses" at this intersection in the one-and-a-half years she has worked in the area.

Once she saw a bus go onto the road divider while trying to avoid a car, and it nearly overturned, she said.
