The driver of a lorry was taken to hospital after his vehicle crashed into a canal along Lower Delta Road at about 5pm yesterday. A video on citizen journalism website Stomp showed firemen lowering a ladder into the canal. The video showed skid marks on the grass patch near the canal and parts of the metal railings lining the canal were missing. A Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) spokesman said a man was taken to Singapore General Hospital. Investigations are ongoing.
