Lorry bursts into flames along PIE, no injuries reported

SINGAPORE - A lorry burst into flames along the road shoulder at the Pan-Island Expressway (PIE) on Monday (Nov 14) afternoon.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said it was alerted to an incident along PIE towards Jurong, after the Bukit Timah Expressway (BKE) exit at 12.40pm.

An SCDF fire engine and Red Rhino vehicle was dispatched to the scene. The fire was extinguished with one water jet.

The cause of fire is under investigation.
