In a video posted online of the riot in Little India on Sunday night, one man was seen urging rioters to stop causing further damage to the bus which was involved in a fatal road traffic accident.

The accident is said to have sparked off the angry mob. The video clip shows the man pushing away two rioters, who were armed with a rubbish bin and a stick, attempting to smash the windscreen of the bus.
