SINGAPORE - The Lions Home for the Elders was officially opened by Minister for Health Gan Kim Yong on Saturday (March 18).

The six-storey, 230-bed nursing home built by the Ministry of Health commenced operations in October 2015, with the elderly residents moving from the previous location at Toa Payoh Rise.

Lions Home's Bishan location also includes a Senior Care Centre offering medical and nursing services for the elderly which began operating in May 2016.

Lions Home - a voluntary welfare organisation which has been operating since 1980 - runs another nursing home located at Bedok South.
