Elizabeth Tan helped expand her father's business, Heatwave Shoes, into a global chain with 50 stores around the world. She is also a humanitarian, who set up Sight To Sky, a charity which organises annual mobile clinics in India, Pakistan and Nepal.

Elizabeth Tan has always been one step ahead of her peers.

As a primary school kid, she spent her after-school hours and weekends helping out at her father's shoe shop in Lucky Plaza. In her teens, she worked at various part-time jobs to earn pocket money.
