Tokyo's Les Creations de Narisawa has been named Asia's best restaurant.

The list of Asia's 50 Best Restaurants has just been revealed at a ceremony at Marina Bay Sands.

Coming in second is Nihonryori RyuGin, also in the Japanese capital, followed by Nahm in Bangkok and Amber in Hong Kong.

The highest placed Singapore restaurant is Restaurant Andre, in 5th place.

Iggy's is number nine on the list and Waku Ghin is at number 11.

Other Singapore restaurants on the list include Les Amis at number 14 and Jaan at 22.

The star-studded event, with a turn-out of more than 500 guests, is sponsored by S.Pelligrino and Acqua Panna.

It is an offshoot of The World's 50 Best Restaurants list, announced every April in London.
