SINGAPORE - The jackpot for the Toto Hongbao Draw on Friday (Feb 19) has ballooned to at least $13.9 million - the largest ever.

"The estimated jackpot prize of $13.9 million for this Friday's Toto Hongbao Draw is the largest to date," a Singapore Pools spokesman told The Straits Times.

The jackpot for the special annual draw was already a hefty $12 million.

It snowballed to $13.9 million when there was no winner for the Group 1 prize money of $1.9 million for the last draw on Monday (Feb 15).

To win the Group 1 prize, a punter has to pick all six of the winning numbers in the draw.

However, the jackpot may grow even larger, depending on Toto ticket sales. In each draw, 54 per cent of sales will be added to the prize pool.

The final prize amounts for the Hongbao Draw will be known only when sales close at 9pm on Friday.

Although the jackpot is the largest one offered, more than one person may win, and share the prize money. That was what happened last year, when there were two winners for the $12 million Hongbao Draw.

Just last Thursday (Feb 11), one Toto ticket won a jackpot of $9.5 million - the largest amount ever.

Friday's draw will start at 9.30pm, at the Singapore Pools Building at 210 Middle Road.

The results of the draw will be posted on the Singapore Pools website (www.singaporepools.com.sg) from 10.30pm on the evening of the draw, as well as on the Singapore Pools Results Facebook page and the Singapore Pools Twitter page.

Results will also be published in all major local daily newspapers on Feb 20.
