A mere two hours before he was arrested on Friday night, Kovan murder suspect Iskandar Rahmat was casually buying food at an eatery in Johor.

The video, exclusively obtained by The Straits Times, shows him buying his food and then heading to some seats.

He was wearing jeans and a black T-shirt and his right hand appeared bandaged. The time stamp of the videos was between 9.23pm and 9.24pm on Friday night.

The video was obtained from the manager of Restoran Singgah Selalu.

Iskandar, 34, a policeman with the Bedok Police Division, was nabbed with help from the Malaysian police at 11.30pm.

The restaurant was packed at the time, with about 100 diners.

Shortly after, two patrol cars pulled up, and uniformed officers joined their plainclothes counterparts. Six officers quickly marched up to the pair and surrounded them.

"The two men appeared very calm and they did not try to run away," said Mr Mohamed Faizal, manager of the restaurant. "They also did not put up a struggle when the police handcuffed them."

It was all over in less than 10 minutes.
