Kiss 92, HOT FM 91.3 and UFM 100.3 among popular radio stations in Singapore

SINGAPORE - Kiss 92, HOT FM 91.3 and UFM 100.3 are among the popular radio stations in Singapore.

Among the English stations, Kiss 92 and HOT FM 91.3, both owned by media group Singapore Press Holdings (SPH), have a listenership of 14 per cent and 8 per cent, respectively, taking the No. 2 and No. 5 spots.

The most popular English station is MediaCorp's Class 95FM, which registered a 16 per cent listenership, according to the Nielsen Radio Diary Survey. Rounding out the top 5 English stations are MediaCorp's other offerings: Gold 90.5FM (12 per cent) and 987FM (11 per cent).

The media company's Y.E.S 93.3FM (20 per cent) remains top among Chinese stations, followed by its Love 97.2FM (19 per cent) and Capital 95.8FM (17 per cent).

SPH's Chinese station UFM 100.3 and Safra Radio's Chinese station 883Jia FM reach 8 per cent and 7 per cent, respectively.

Among other language stations, Warna 94.2FM registered 10 per cent listenership, followed by Oli 96.8FM (7 per cent), Ria 89.7FM (6 per cent) and Expat Radio 96.3XFM (2 per cent).

The survey also found that the number of people who tune in to the radio remains steady over the past year, with the majority of adults (92 per cent) doing so on a weekly basis. More than nine in 10 listeners turn to traditional sources such as FM receivers, and one in four listened to the radio via apps or websites.

Nielsen's Radio Diary Survey is a bi-annual study of radio listening habits. The latest study was conducted from March to May this year and surveyed a total of 2,020 respondents representative of the Singapore population aged 15 and above.
