The Kampong Java Neighbourhood Police Centre's service counter is closed temporarily due to a fire that has disrupted power supply, said the police in a statement early Sunday morning.

A switchbox in the generator room of Tanglin Police Divisional Headquarters, where the neighbourhood police centre is located, caught fire on Saturday evening and was put out within 15 minutes by the Singapore Civil Defence Force. No injuries were reported in the incident, which is believed to be an accident on preliminary investigation.

Despite the service counter's closure, calls made to the divisional headquarters and neighbourhood police centre will still be answered.

The police added that those who need police services may go to the following neighbourhood police centres:
