SINGAPORE - Banking executive Vera Soh may not crunch data or write code, but her role as a private client relationship manager at Citi Singapore is among a talent category in hot demand in the banking industry.

Ms Soh, a 33-year-old former stewardess, joined the bank in 2013 as a personal banker and has gone on to serve wealthy - and then wealthier - clients over the past eight years.
