Job opportunities for persons with disabilities at Sengkang job fair

More than 380 job openings inclusive of positions for Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) were available at the North East CDC job fair on Saturday.

Organised by the North East Community Development Council (CDC) with the Workforce Development Agency's support, the fair hopes to encourage employers to support equal employment for PWDs.

Deputy Prime Minister Teo Chee Hean, who was at the fair, said: "This is an excellent example of how community groups, companies, and the Government can work together to build a more inclusive society."

Bizlink, a non-profit body which helps those with disabilities find work, said that it has provided employment services for more than 7,000 disadvantaged people, especially those with disabilities since it was set up 27 years ago.
