ITE to organise gaming event aimed at promoting cyber wellness

The Institute of Technical Education (ITE) and the Singapore's Cybersports & Online Gaming Association (SCOGA) will work together for the next three years to promote cyber wellness and a healthy gaming lifestyle among the young.

Gaming enthusiasts can look forward to the flagship event called the Campus Game Fest from Oct 4 to 6.

At the event, there will be a slew of competitions including multiplayer games, anime cosplay and drawing comic book characters. Industry professionals and top gamers will also be conducting workshops and talks focusing on cyber wellness and how to balance one's other priorities with gaming.

Said Dr Ang Kiam Wee, Principal of ITE College Central: "Gaming is a significant part of the lives of youths today, and this platform allows us to help them channel their energy positively while enjoying what they are doing."
