Istana open house for Hari Raya and National Day draws crowds

SINGAPORE - THE Istana opened its doors to the public on Saturday morning in celebration of Hari Raya Puasa and National Day.

Visitors were able to tour the Istana, pen their aspirations for Singapore to be displayed on a Wish House, and learn more about Singapore's heritage at special booths set up by 13 museums.

President Tony Tan Keng Yam and his wife Mrs Mary Tan also made an appearance at noon to join in the festivities.

They were joined by Minister for Culture, Community, and Youth Lawrence Wong.
