Is there a childcare crunch in your neighbourhood?

Parents have been finding it increasingly hard to secure a place at a childcare centre for their children. And the high demand is not limited to new estates like Punggol and Sengkang. As of August this year, all estates across Singapore recorded enrolment rates exceeding 73 per cent.

The Early Childhood Development Agency, which oversees the pre-school sector, recently rolled out a slew of measures to ease the crunch which includes increasing the number of childcare places available.
