ICA advises travellers to make early passport renewal appointments

Travellers planning to go abroad during the week-long school break in March and have less than six months' passport validity on their passports are advised to make early appointments to apply for their new passports.

To avoid a last minute rush and long queues, the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) advises Singaporeans to refrain from heading to ICA for passport services on Mondays, Fridays, Saturdays, during school holidays, the eve of and the day after public holidays.

For passport collection, customers are advised to make e-Appointments via the ICA website. Alternatively, ICA advises Singaporeans to collect their passports from one of 29 SingPost outlets.

Singaporeans can apply for their new passports over the counter at the ICA, online, by post, through deposit boxes outside the ICA building or self-service kiosks in the ICA. Many countries require a passport to be valid for at least six months as part on entry.
