SINGAPORE - The Health Sciences Authority (HSA) is advising members of the public to avoid Shantique Bellaza cosmetic products from Shantique Bellaza Sdn Bhd, which were found to contain undeclared prohibited ingredients including mercury and hydroquinone.

The affected products are SB Facial Fuel Toner Mezzo, SB UV Pro Day Cream Mezzo, and SB Rejuvenating Night Cream Mezzo, the HSA said in a statement.

These products can cause unwanted skin pigmentation and prolonged use can lead to adverse reactions affecting organs, including the kidneys.

HSA advises those who have purchased the products to stop using them and discard them immediately, and to seek immediate medical attention should they face any adverse effects or have any health concerns after using them.

Members of the public are advised to be cautious when purchasing health products.

Those with information on Shantique Bellaza products, or the sales of other illegal health products are advised to contact HSA.
