HDB resale data out today

Details of the Housing Board resale market's performance from March to June will be released today.

This follows flash figures earlier this month, which showed a 0.4 per cent fall in the resale price index - a more gradual decline than the 1 per cent dip in the first quarter.

Today's more detailed figures will include the transaction volume and flat prices in each town.


Obama visits Kenya and Ethiopia

President Barack Obama will land in Kenya today on the first stop of visit to Africa that will also take him to Ethiopia. He is the first sitting US president to go to either country. Mr Obama is on a mission to strengthen US security and economic ties, but his personal connection to his father's birthplace in Kenya will dominate a trip that Kenyans view as a native son returning home.


NTUC Future Leaders Summit

The annual Future Leaders Summit organised by the National Trades Union Congress (NTUC) takes place today.

This year, it will address how the economy and concept of leadership are evolving, and how professionals, managers and executives (PMEs) can stay ahead in an increasingly competitive global workforce.

About 700 people are expected to attend.
