More than 9,000 new HDB flats launched around the island from Queenstown to Clementi and Punggol

SINGAPORE - More than 9,000 new Housing Board flats were launched on Wednesday, as part of this month's Build-to-Order (BTO) and Sale of Balance Flats exercise - the largest joint exercise so far.

Of these, 4,044 are BTO flats in Clementi, Tampines, Punggol and Sembawang. They include the first homes equipped with smart technology infrastructure in Punggol's Northshore District.

With housing grants, the selling prices of two-, three-, four- and five-room flats start from $15,000, $102,000, $203,000 and $354,000 respectively.

A total of 5,387 balance flats, in estates such as Woodlands, Jurong, Bukit Merah and Queenstown, are also being offered.

This is the second launch for this year, bringing the total number of BTO units offered this year to 8,039. HDB will launch a further 4,860 flats in Bidadari and Punggol Northshore during the next BTO exercise in August.
