SINGAPORE - Household gas tariffs will go down from 18.25 cents per kilowatt hour (kWh) to 17.47 cents per kWh from November to January 2016, City Gas announced on Thursday (Oct 29).
This is a 4.3 per cent reduction, or 0.78 cents per kWh.
The changes can be attributed to a 17.1 per cent drop in fuel costs compared to the previous quarter, according to the trustee of City Gas Trust.
City Gas reviews the gas tariffs based on guidelines set by the Energy Market Authority, the gas industry regulator.
