Three new members for Public Transport Council

Transport Minister Khaw Boon Wan has appointed 16 members to the Public Transport Council for the period from May 1 this year to April 30, 2019, of whom three are newly appointed and the rest are returning members.

The new members are Mr Adrian Chua, divisional director of manpower planning and policy at the Ministry of Manpower; Mr Fang Chin Poh, general secretary of the National Transport Workers' Union; and Dr Kwoh Chee Keong, secretary of the Keat Hong Citizens' Consultative Committee.

LTA awards contracts for two new MRT stations

Contracts worth a total of $334 million for the construction of the Amber and Bedok South stations on the Thomson-East Coast Line have been awarded by the Land Transport Authority.

Construction firm Woh Hup was awarded the Amber station at a contract sum of $146 million, while the construction of the Bedok South station and its associated tunnels was awarded to China Jingye Engineering Corporation for $188 million.

ICA warns of fake website phishing for data

The Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) has warned of a fraudulent website that is phishing for visitors' personal information.

The site, immisg-mom.in, leads unwitting victims to key in their visa application numbers and passport numbers. Access to the official ICA website, www.ica.gov.sg, remains unaffected.
