Pet Expo showcases therapy conference

Pet Expo 2016 will be held at Singapore Expo from today until Sunday, featuring the first animal therapy conference by a panel of experts to educate owners about available treatments.

As part of the expo, Jurong Bird Park and the Agri-Food and Veterinary Authority of Singapore will hold animal-related events.

Extended hours for sakura display

Its sakura or cherry blossom display has been so popular that Gardens by the Bay has extended its closing time to 10pm, from today until Sunday, it said. Blossom Beats at the Flower Dome is on until Sunday.

There were long queues last weekend, with visitors to the park "doubling" in number, said Gardens by the Bay.

Buses to be diverted for weekend events

Some SBS Transit and SMRT bus services will be diverted over the weekend because of road closures for several events.

Tomorrow will feature the Samsung Fashion Steps Out event in Orchard Road.

The following day, the Civic District and parts of the Central Business District will host Car-Free Sunday SG. The Jalan Besar GRC and Potong Pasir SMC Cultural Night will also be held on Sunday.
