Heritage festival to feature 'memories of everyday Singaporeans'

Memories of everyday Singaporeans will take centrestage in this year's Singapore Heritage Festival to be held from July 19 to 28.

Most of the programmes and activities in the 10-day festival will be organised by companies, community groups and heritage enthusiasts.

For instance, the Seletar Heritage Trail, which covers the Seletar Camp and airport and aircraft hangars, was put together by a team of young flying enthusiasts.

Visitors to the festival also will get to learn more about unique facets of Singapore such as the history of magic.

Food guru Violet Oon and designer Priscilla Shunmugam have also been roped in to stage displays and activities. For more information on the event, visit www.heritagefest.sg.
