SGH hepatitis C cluster outbreak: 911 patients screened, no new cases

SINGAPORE - Another four patients have been screened for hepatitis C since the Singapore General Hospital's (SGH) last update, with no new cases found.

As of 1pm on Thursday, a total of 911 patients have been screened, said the hospital in a statement on Thursday evening.

This is up from 907 patients as of Wednesday. The patients being screened had stayed at Wards 64A and 67 of SGH between January and September this year.

Of the patients, 860 were tested negative and three positive, as announced earlier. There are 48 test results pending.

A total of 316 staff have been screened and all the results were negative.
