Plan to tackle overuse of antibiotics

Singapore is taking aim at superbugs, with a National Strategic Action Plan announced yesterday to tackle the problem of antimicrobial resistance (AMR). The plan includes boosting AMR research and educating the public on what they can do, and spreading the message that antibiotics do not work against viral infections. The over-use of antibiotics means microbes are becoming resistant to drugs.
