Five years ago, Dr Daryl Tan prescribed an expensive, off-label cancer drug in a last-ditch attempt to save a patient's life.
The drug - pembrolizumab - is normally used to treat lung or skin cancer. It was not approved for use against the rare form of lymphoma that Dr Tan's patient had.
