SINGAPORE - More than 350 clinics will operate at various times over the Chinese New Year public holidays from Sunday (Feb 7) to next Tuesday, the Ministry of Health (MOH) announced on Friday (Feb 5).

"MOH would like to encourage the public who feel unwell during the festivities to visit their general practitioner or 24-hour clinic for conditions that are neither life-threatening nor serious," MOH said.

It added that medical treatment at hospitals' Accident & Emergency (A&E) departments should only be sought in the event of serious emergencies, such as chest pain, breathlessness and uncontrollable bleeding.

More information on other conditions which would require a visit to the A&E department can be found on the Health Promotion Board website.

MOH has also reminded the public to eat in moderation and continue to exercise regularly to stay healthy over the holiday period.
