I came across an interesting report in the newspaper recently: The number of Chinese restaurants in America is dropping. More Chinese restaurants pulled down the shutters for good every year than new ones starting up. And the report concluded that this was a good thing.

The popularity of Chinese food among American diners has not dipped. Chinese restaurants remained hugely popular.
