Come this weekend, learn to take charge of your health at the annual Health & You event.

You can check out the latest health products in the market, attend talks on medical conditions and even pick up culinary tips by watching healthy cooking demos.

Held at Suntec Singapore Convention and Exhibition Centre, the two- day affair will feature close to 100 exhibitors. They include public healthcare groups like the Singapore National Eye Centre and distributors of health supplements.

It is organised by The Straits Times Mind & Body and Chinese daily Lianhe Zaobao's health section Lohas. Admission is free.

Besides shopping, visitors can sweat it out by taking part in popular workouts, such as the Latin dance-inspired Zumba and Kpop Aerobics. Families with young children in tow can head to the Kids' Corner, where five- to 12-year-olds can try their hand at art and craft workshops from 11am to 6pm. The exhibition is open from 9am to 9pm.

Children can learn to create puppets out of household materials, or make sand art to take home.

The workshops are free, though places are limited. Parents have to register their children at the event.

Visitors who spend at least $50 will be able to redeem a gift bag worth over $50. It includes a BPA- free citrus juicer bottle. And 10 shoppers who spend at least $30 will each be able to walk home with a $500 cash prize in the lucky draw contest.
