Before him, the oldest living kidney donor here was a 75-year-old woman who donated a kidney to her 46-year-old daughter in 2009.

The ministry said that the number of kidney transplants increased from 69 in 2013 to 93 last year, although most of these kidneys came from people who donated them after their death.
