3 new Zika cases reported on Tuesday with no links to any existing cluster

SINGAPORE - Three new cases of Zika were reported on Tuesday (Sept 20), none of which were linked to any existing cluster.

This brings the total number of locally transmitted cases to 383.

The weekend saw 12 new Zika cases reported, and a possible new cluster in Hougang Avenue 7, bringing the number of active local clusters to nine.

There were no cases reported on Monday.

Besides the initial Zika cluster in the Aljunied area, which stands at 286 cases, and the new Hougang Avenue 7 cluster, the other current clusters on the National Environment Agency's website are the Elite Terrace area in Siglap; Balam Road/Jalan Raya/Circuit Road; Ubi Avenue 1/Ubi Crescent; Bedok North Avenue 3; Bishan Street 12; Joo Seng Road/Vernon Park; and Sengkang Central/Sengkang East Avenue.


Note: The cumulative total has been updated to 383 from 384, as numbers from last week have been revised.
