HANGZHOU • About a month ago, I started buying beer by the case.

It all began when I was browsing Chinese e-commerce platform Taobao and stumbled upon a Chinese craft label from Nanjing called Master Gao. I first discovered the label at my local supermarket in Beijing, and found the hoppy, jasmine-scented beverage to be the perfect antidote after a long day's work.
