SINGAPORE - More free content is now just a tap away on The Straits Times' mobile apps. You can easily get updates on the go with the refreshed apps for Apple and Android devices.

Three exclusive websites - namely, Singapolitics, Asia Report and The Straits Times Communities - are now available on the apps.

Singapolitics is a current-affairs microsite on national issues; Asia Report is a region-focused microsite leveraging on Asian perspectives and analyses; and The ST Communities is a platform for readers to share views and stories.

The first of the ST Communities was Entertainment. It won gold in the Best in Social Media category at the 2013 Asian Digital Media Awards which was organised by the World Association of Newspapers and News Publishers. A new Education Community - targeted at parents and readers interested in the latest educational developments in Singapore - was launched earlier this month.

On the tablet app, these additional sites are displayed on a banner in the Breaking News section. On the smartphone app, they are prominently displayed on the homepage. Tapping on an icon will take you directly to the page.

To get access to these microsites, simply update or download the latest version of The Straits Times mobile apps on the Apple App Store for iPhone users and the Google Play Store for Android phone users.
