SINGAPORE - Gas tariffs for households will remain unchanged at 17.68 cents per kilowatt hour (kwh) from Nov 1 this year to Jan 31 next year, City Gas announced on Monday (Oct 30).
The current tariff, 17.68 cents per kwh, for the current quarter - Aug 1 to Oct 31 - is a 2 per cent decrease from the previous one.
This was mainly due to a 7.1 per cent decrease in fuel costs.
City Gas reviews gas tariffs based on guidelines set by the gas industry regulator, the Energy Market Authority.
City Gas supplies town gas to almost 90 per cent of residents living in new Housing Board estates and private properties as well as other places such as hawker centres, hotels and hospitals.
