From now until Jan 26, shoppers at West Coast Plaza can try galloping on a 3m tall rocking horse believed to be the largest in Singapore.
Called Lady Luck, the rocking horse was designed and produced by events company The A Team Promotions for the mall's Chinese New Year celebrations.
It is, however, not just a piece of decoration. It operates like a conventional kiddie rocking horse, but a thousand times larger. The horse can seat up to four riders and can be manually operated by either the riders or an operator.
It took four weeks and a team of 10 men to construct and assemble the 500kg Lady Luck, which will be in operation from 1pm to 8pm daily until Jan 26. Shoppers have to spend at least $50 at the mall to redeem a pass for two people for a two-minute ride on the horse. On weekends, the first 150 shoppers who do so will also get to take an instant photo with the horse for free.
