SINGAPORE - People who want to catch the highlights of the National Day Parade - such as the aerial display and fireworks - should avoid the Marina Bay area, which has reached full capacity, the SG50 Programme Office has advised.
Instead, they should head to Gardens by the Bay, Singapore Flyer and Marina Barrage, it said.
As carparks in the area are also full, people should take public transport to these venues, it added.
They can take the MRT to Marina Bay station, where they can walk to Gardens by the Bay and the Marina Barrage, or alight at Promenade station to go to Singapore Flyer.
Those who want to watch the National Day Parade with fellow Singaporeans can catch live screening of the proceedings at Sports Hub, Singapore Botanic Gardens, former Tanjong Pagar Railway Station, Singapore Discovery Centre, Sengkang and Pasir Ris swimming complex as well as 15 community sites, including Henderson Community Club, Serangoon Community Park and the hardcourt at 50, Punggol East Road.
