After 28 years as a paid newspaper, The New Paper becomes free today after its merger with My Paper.

Readers can expect a fresh mix of content that is catered to professionals, managers, executives and businessmen (PMEBs).

Said TNP editor Eugene Wee: "This means news about our economy, job market, property, personal finance and government policies and how they affect our readers."

But the paper will hold on to its traditional strengths, like its coverage of sports, food and entertainment. "And we will continue to do stories about people in Singapore that will inspire and tug at readers' heartstrings," said Mr Wee.

From Mondays to Fridays at 7am to 9am, you can pick up a free copy at 49 MRT stations, including Raffles Place, City Hall and Orchard.

The lunch crowd can also get a copy from 11.30am to 1.30pm in areas such as Raffles Courtyard, City Hall and Tanjong Pagar Plaza.

It will also be distributed at selected malls such as Plaza Singapura, Paragon and Centrepoint, as well as at cafes, offices, country clubs, libraries, airline lounges, hospitals and on premium bus services.

On Saturdays, TNP will be distributed at 31 MRT stations from 11.30am to 1.30pm.

The paper will also be available for free online at www.tnp.sg and as a downloadable app from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
