SINGAPORE - A fire broke out at a market in Marine Parade on Tuesday afternoon (Jan 30).
Photos sent in by a reader showed Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) officers at the scene, with fire extinguishers on the ground.
A police officer was also seen with police tape.
SCDF told The Straits Times that it was alerted to a fire at 84 Marine Parade Central at about 4.15pm.
"The fire, which involved a fridge from a market stall, was extinguished by SCDF using a compressed air foam backpack," said the spokesman.
There were no reported injuries and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
