Fire at Arcadia condo carpark

Forty residents evacuated The Arcadia condominium near Adam Road yesterday morning after a fire broke out in a carpark.The top part of an entrance to the carpark and its ceiling were scorched and wires could be seen dangling from the ceiling. The front of an Audi car was also damaged. The blaze occurred at about 6.45am near a resting room for chauffeurs of condominium residents. It is not clear what caused the fire, or where it started. The Singapore Civil Defence Force put it out within 15 minutes and is investigating the cause of the fire. There were no serious injuries.
