Final stage of Circle Line to cost $4.85b

The Land Transport Authority says the bill for the 4km Circle Line 6 (CCL6) also includes the cost of expanding the Kim Chuan Depot (above) and the building of a multi-storey bus depot. The final stage 6 of the Circle Line will cost $1.2 billion per kilometre to build, or five times the average per-km cost of the first five stages.

This means the cost of the 4km stretch, which adds three stations to link Marina Bay to HarbourFront, is expected to be $4.85 billion - more than half what the first five stages cost and exceeds the $3.7 billion projected in 2015.
