President Tony Tan Keng Yam's wife, Mary, having her hand painted with henna during the Istana Open House yesterday. Earlier, the President and his wife caught a performance by the Yishun Secondary School symphonic band. Despite some wet weather earlier in the day, the sun was out in the afternoon as thousands thronged the verdant grounds of the Istana, some in their Hari Raya Aidilfitri best. The Istana will hold another open house on July 30, ahead of the National Day celebrations in August.
