SINGAPORE - Two new exhibits, featuring a malayan tiger and three asiatic black bears, were launched at the Night Safari on Friday, to mark its 20th anniversary.
The animals would be seen on the 35-minute tram ride at the park - which is also the world's first zoo for nocturnal animals.
Earlier this week, Night Safari also introduced a pair of South African white lions.
Emeritus Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong, who officiated at the park's opening in 1994, was guest of honour at a celebration on Friday evening.
As part of its 20th anniversary celebrations, the park is offering Singaporeans and Permanent Residents tickets at $20 this weekend. Tickets usually cost $39 for adults and $25 for children aged between three and 12.
The park attracts 1.1 million visitors a year, compared with 800,000 when it first opened opened on May 26, 1994.
