Two years ago, strategist Au Yong Haw Yee, suffered an unexpected stroke when he was just 30. With the left side of his body greatly weakened, he strengthened his arm muscles by doing exercises using the Armeo robotic arm.

With this in mind, a four-day event focusing on innovative medical technology for rehabilitation will be staged from Feb 27 by Singex Exhibition Ventures, Tan Tock Seng Hospital and Singapore General Hospital.

To be held at Singapore Expo, it comprises an exhibition, conference and symposium for participants to learn about the latest in the industry.

One example is a wheelchair accessible vehicle by French car-maker Renault that allows disabled people to enter by rolling their wheelchairs up a ramp that unfolds from the back of the car.
